Città Sonora, Scicli, 2020
La “Città Sonora” è un format d’azione musicale e narrativa improvvisa, che per finestre temporali variabili s’infiltra nei tessuti urbani, innescando un corto circuito virtuoso fra arte e vita, ancor oggi e forse più di ieri capace di lanciare ipotesi di futuro partecipativo, pratico e strategico.
La prima tappa, il progetto pilota, è stato a Scicli (Ragusa), patrocinato dal Rotary di Modica e dallo stesso Comune di Scicli; il 9 agosto 2020, dalle 20:00 alle 24:00, la città traboccava di espressione gioiosa, una festa collettiva di arti varie che ha visto la partecipazione di più di 100 fra performer e coordinatori.
Il format ha per scopo l’emersione orizzontale, quotidiana, orchestrata e casuale, non sempre spettacolare ma ogni volta sorprendente, dei valori artistici delle città e delle genti che le abitano, rendendo evidente la potenza solidale della condivisione simbolica (la sfera dell’arte), calata nella trama della vita pratica.
Bellezza e memoria scaturiscono dall’azione congiunta di decine di performer coi cittadini, le loro case, i loro cortili, i turisti, le attività commerciali.
Spettatori, autori, artisti, tutti-in-azione, tutti coinvolti nel gioco della vita espressiva, l’unica vita che per natura attraversa il tempo, la storia, e mantiene la promessa più profonda: la salvezza, come la bellezza, sono la materia del presente amoroso e dinamico.
Le tracce che la vita d’arte, ad ogni livello di complessità, può lasciare nel tempo della alta digitalizzazione dei rapporti umani, sono paragonabili ai monumenti e alle architetture di ieri…

The “Sound City” is a format of improvised musical and narrative actions, which for variable time windows infiltrates the urban fabric, triggering a virtuous short circuit between art and life, still today and perhaps more than yesterday capable of launching hypotheses of practical and strategic participatory future.
The first stage, the pilot project, was in Scicli (Ragusa), sponsored by the Rotary of Modica and by the Municipality of Scicli; on August 9, 2020, from 20:00 to 24:00, the city overflowed with joyful expression, a collective feast of various arts that saw the participation of more than 100 performers and coordinators.
The format aims at the horizontal, daily, orchestrated and casual emergence, not always spectacular but always surprising, of the artistic values of the cities and the people who inhabit them, making evident the power of solidarity of symbolic sharing (the sphere of art), melted into the texture of practical life.
Beauty and memory arise from the joint action of dozens of performers with citizens, their homes, their courtyards, tourists, businesses…
Spectators, authors, artists, all-in-action, all involved in the game of expressive life, the only life that by nature crosses time, history, and keeps the deepest promise: salvation, like beauty, are the matter of any dynamic and loving present.
The traces that art-lives, at every level of complexity, can leave in the time of the high digitalisation of human relations, are comparable to the monuments and architectures of yesterday…
